Description

Ms. Eisha Gohil is a budding poetess whose
work has been published in many periodicals
and journals. She was born in the holy city,
Haridwar (Uttarakhand). She has a master’s
degree in Psychology from the University of
Jammu. Presently, she is working as an
Assistant Professor and teaches Psychology
to undergraduate students.

Besides participating in sports and other co-
curricular activities, right from my childhood, she has always been interested in painting and writing. Her entry into a
competition organized by a supplement of Down to Earth was
judged as one of the best. This encouraged her to continue and
till date, she has been using her spare time in painting and
composing verses. The collection of her poems has been
published by Blue Rose Publishers under the title-The Other
Side and her second book was published by free space publishers
under the title-Mirrors. Two of her poems were published in
‘SHEERAZA’ Vol XIV No-2-3 in the year 2018.SHEERAZA
is a quarterly journal of culture and literature published by J &
K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages. Some of her abstract
patterns were exhibited during YAYAVAR-The Literary
festival held in the year 2019. During this event, she also recited
two of her poems in front of the host of critiques. Two of her
verses were published in a book under the title-Ishq ‘con’-A
bleeding heart published by four clover publication.
Art is an expression of the soul and she has been making
ambiguous patterns since childhood. Drawn by a ball point pen
and a simple sparkle pen, these patterns have no apparent meaning, yet they reveal many latent emotions, ideas and
desires. She believe them to be work of our unconscious mind.
An observer can interpret them according to their personality,
past experiences, wishes and behavioural patterns. Life take
different turns and sometimes moving with the flow becomes
difficult. Art, as a companion proves to be very helpful in
relaxing a stressed mind and relieving the psychological tensions
that occur from time to time.
